Howdy, just a quick shout for a couple wee things. Firstly I’ve been down to Fisherrow today and there must have been a match booked because the floodlights were on, but for some weird reason it didn’t go ahead. I’m assuming it failed a pitch inspection before the match went ahead because the floodlights went off about half an hour after being turned on. On the plus side, pitch 1 looked in pretty decent nick and I’m remaining hopeful that we won’t be reduced to any astroturf jiggery-pokery. Apparently The God Squad are going to be in control of sorting the ref, I only hope that it is a truly impartial upstanding member of society, and not some random geezer from the church.
More importantly I’ve splashed out and paid the handsome fee of £7.48 to buy a domain for the blog, rather than be a walking advert for wordpress. So now to save you time and fingers the site can be accessed from www.vafc2008.com. Pretty much a moot point but it does give a nice extra bit of credibility. So now Willie Mulgrew and all his chums can find the site much easier and leave really strange and frankly urbane comments without taking far too much time out of their busy working days.
Anyways, I received a vision from god (presumably, either him or Beer) and it was a glorious move from the midfield switching wings delightfully with a perfect cross coming in to me standing 30 yards out and finishing the move with a truly tremendous left footed volley. Surely this will happen.
