Alright folks, after putting out a post on gumtree looking for opposition for friendlies I recieved some very positive responses. The most effective of these game from Haddington Athletic, a team in the East Region South Division of the Scottish Junior FA set up. Essentially what we’re dealing with here is a team from the second teir of scottish football. Potential scottish cup entrants. On a par with the likes of Spartans. I could understand any trepidation towards the fixture, but it will actually give us a great chance to try out a few new things. Firstly it will be the first time that we will be major underdogs and will have to be a bit more tactically aware than previously. Its also a bit of a showpiece game that will definitely stoke a bit of interest in the team. On top of this it could be the beginning of a very profitable relationship as T the assistant manager has said if it goes well it could develop into a regular game. Anyways I’ll hopefully be able to post the line up tomorrow so everybody knows the script. It is absolutely VITAL that everybody show up an hour before kick off as we are picking up far too many muscualr injuries that could easily be stopped by a proper warm up.
