Howdy, I’ve finally returned from most rural spain, and after enjoying copious amounts of chorizo and taking in Valencia vs Sevilla im now ready for a glorious return to business. While I was away I managed to organise a fixture against Valencia Reserves at fisherrow on Wednesday at 7.30pm. But unfortunately they’ve crumbled under the weight of our reputation and Westerhailes Baptist Church FC have stepped in to fill the shoes of David Villa’s underlings. They did want us to go out to the Gyle but they have decided its for the best to come to Fisherrow because of the floodlighting. However they have insisted on supplying the ref, which is pretty much fair enough. So it will be the usual arrangement, all the lads get there for 6.30pm for a 7.30pm kick off. Should be a pretty exciting encounter after we beat them last time and we need to really hit them for six this time and give them the beltage.
On another issue myself, Owen and Clarky fired through to Dunbar last night to turn out for Teuchters against Dunbar F.C. Was good to get a run around after a long break, but unfortunately we succumbed to a 4-0 defeat that saw a small ginger striker from Musselburgh put a penalty astray (his identity remains unknown).
After almost a month off its going to be brilliant to get back into the famous green and purple and bang in the goals again. I look forward to seeing you there.
